The Daintree Rainforest is the oldest continuously living rainforest in the world, dating over 135 million years and covering an area that stretches from Mossman Gorge in the South to Cooktown in the north.
The Daintree Rainforest was world heritage listed in 1988 and is positioned adjacent to another world heritage area The Great Barrier Reef, making it the only place in the world where two world heritage areas meet.
The Daintree River is known as a naturalists paradise, it is home to a diverse ecosystem, boasting a vast array of animal and plant life, including ferns, orchids, epiphytes, as well as butterflies, fish, diverse bird life and the elusive ‘Estuarine’ Saltwater Crocodile, as well as breathtaking scenery. Daintree Discovery Tours will take you to the Mossman Gorge where during a short walk through beautiful tropical rainforest you can learn about the special rainforest plants and their uses by the Kuku Yalanji people.
Then onto the Daintree River for a river cruise. From here we make our way to Cape Tribulation for a walk along the beach or walk to the lookout. After lunch, enjoyed next to a private stream, it is off to the famous Daintree Ice Cream Company before a 4WD trip to stunning Cassowary Falls for a freshwater swim.
After lunch it is then off to the famous Daintree Ice-cream Company where you can purchase a tropical fruit ice-cream on our way to the stunning Cassowary Falls.

Your coach transfer will collect you from Villa San Michele and take you to Skyrail Caravonica Station for your Skyrail experience up to Kuranda, the village in the rainforest.
Enjoy Skyrail’s 7 km journey up the mountain with panoramic views of the Coral Sea as you glide over the top of the rainforest. Spend some free time in Kuranda, shopping at the markets, having lunch, visiting Birdworld or the Butterfly Park.
For the return journey you will take the Kuranda Scenic Railway back to Freshwater Station. Meander down the mountain, stopping at Barron Falls and passing through many tunnels. Your coach transfer will then transport you back to Villa San Michele.
